A task force of federal, state and local investigators pored over a fire-damaged section of a synagogue on Sunday, looking for clues to a fire that has stirred fears of religious hatred. Flames raced through a first-floor business office at Temple Beth El late Friday. Structural damage prevented investigators from entering that area of the building until Sunday morning, U.S. Attorney Daniel French said. Suspicions about the origins of the fire have been heightened by the recent violence in the Middle East, but French urged caution. ``People shouldn't jump to any conclusions,'' he said. ``We don't have enough information. There is going to be concern until we can determine if this is an isolated event.''
